What do we offer?
We work with individuals who feel that their writing would benefit from one-to-one attention. We review a range of samples beforehand, and then give feedback in the face-to-face (or virtual) sessions, linking it to our core themes of aim and audience, planning and structuring and a reader-focused style. Three sessions is our standard format, but we’ve worked in more depth with some people. Some clients book us for a day’s “surgery” when individuals sign up for short one-to-one sessions.
What do people think of our coaching?
“Thank you so much for all your help over the last month. I will remember your invaluable advice as I continue my career. You have really helped me gain back my confidence and strength, when I though it was lost.”
“In a very short amount of time, Cathy was able to point out a number of patterns in my writing and explain alternatives and things to consider. I really enjoyed the session and think it could be good to have these sessions annually.”
“I wasn’t sure what to expect and was very sceptical about what feedback could be given to me by a stranger who had only just read my work … She took a very holistic approach and considered me as an individual. I am very grateful for having had the opportunity to sit down with Cathy.”
“Cathy had carefully read my draft note and had very useful constructive comments and ways in which I could improve my drafting.”
“I am digesting your mark-up – thank you sincerely, Cathy. It looks like a lot of work. I really appreciate your time. Your message is hitting home and I hope my writing improves quickly with my greater awareness and diligence. I am inspired and motivated.”
